Basila — living at a natural pace

Where it comes from

Basila is Curaçaoan — a way of moving through life without rushing it. It's the rhythm I grew up with, and it's the rhythm YENA is built on.

Where the food comes from

Eight years in high-end kitchens, including an executive internship in luxury hospitality, shaped the technique. Curaçao and the wider Caribbean and Latin world shaped everything else — the flavor, the instinct, the identity.

Where it's going

YENA started as catering and cakes. It won't stay there. The plan is a full hospitality group — food first, then cafés, restaurants, bars, and eventually places to stay — all still standing on basila.
